Quick card!

I love making cards, I can spend hours designing, cutting, and decorating... but sometimes you don't have that time and you need to put something together quickly.

Having a Cricut has made things easy for this, in a matter of minutes, you can have something beautiful in place and ready to go.

I was invited to a wedding anniversary celebration, I bought a present early and then it slipped from my mind... so the night before I put together this cute card, all made with basic shapes and free SVG from the Internet.

I used Close to my Heart cardstock in black, gold, and glitter gold and made both the card and the envelope. I also used the foil tool in gold from Cricut for the writing.

As a little advice, when you use medium to heavy cardstock, especially for the envelope, use high tack glue or tape as tends to unstick from the tension. And with glitter paper, I always use glue as tape doesn't do the work.

Zip strips and scraps!

Are you the same as me and always keep the tiniest amount of scrap paper? Where is the limit to discarding or keeping?

I end up with lots of tiny pieces, all the zip strips that come with the papers and I keep adding them to my scrap box... so I wanted to do a little cleanup but bin cardstock is so painful...

I discovered in a folder some studio photos we took 7 years ago, yes I know 🙈, and I haven't included them in any of my albums. Because some were black and white and very neutral in the background I wanted colour. And with some of my zip strips and some scraps from my box of shame, I put this page in place.

I finished with a title done in black with the Cricut (font is Magnolia Sky), some bling and little stamps matching the strip above, looks like is a raining rainbow, don't you think?

I also used some stamps on white, colouring and fussy cut them, as this lovely butterfly:

It's a very simple layout, and you can put it together very quickly but at the same time is very happy and colourful and makes me smile.

It's been a while, but I'm back for good

It's been a hectic time, little kids, new jobs, moving from rental to rental and finally building our own home. When life started settling, Covid hit and weirdness went to the roof. I lost my Mojo in every single aspect, but things are back on track, so I decided to commit to my paper crafting blog.

I've been using Close to my Heart products for a long time now, and finally, I decided to join as a maker as I love the products and I wasn't using anything else.

I have recently started a scrapbooking group in my current suburb which I love, and what a better excuse to start writing again and share my little creations.

Our first meeting was this, we meet each other, talk about what we liked, everyone worked on their projects, shared ideas, actually, I just add photos to the pages I have been doing!

Look at the views we have in our new meeting place, stunning isn't it?

Stay tuned, I will start sharing regularly my ideas and creations.
